Good Friend

This is a new stamp set in the idea book and catalogue which is quite versatile. It can be a birdie or a whale.

Card:Riding Hood Red; Baja Breeze; Whisper White; Pacific Point
Ink: Baja Breeze; Pacfic Point
stamp sets: Good Friend
Accessories: Scallop Edge Punch; Paper Snips; SNAIL.

Turn it the other direction and add a beak and legs and you have a bird.

Happy Birthday Bird

Card: Summer Sun, Whisper White
Ink: Kiwi Kiss; Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette (Part of this year’s In Color series), stampin’ write markers (bold brights), versamark
stamp sets: Bitty Birthday; Good Friend
Accessories: Paper Snips, SNAIL

Two simple cards… Just stamp, cut and attach to the card. In the case of the bird I tried to stamp the legs onto card and cut them out but they didn’t give me the look I wanted so I just stamped straight onto the card and layered the bird’s body on top.

I CASED the idea of the bird saying Happy Birthday from the idea book.

Christmas in July

Season of Joy A

The theme for this month was Christmas Cards so I had fun experimenting with reverse embossing…

Stamp Set: Season of Joy

Ink: baja breeze, versamark

Card Stock: riding hood red, whisper white

Accessories: brayer, crop-a-dile, Power Pals, Embossing Buddy and Embossing Powder, Heat Gun, SNAIL

Technique: I stamped the image in versamark and covered in embossing powder. I then used the heat gun until the image became solid. I then covered the brayer in ink and rolled repeatedly over the embossed image so the card became blue and the image was the only thing white.

I used the crop-a-dile on the corners of the image and on the card.

Alexander’s Birthday

Alexander's Birthday Card

Ink: Riding Hood Red, Tangerine Tango, Summer Sun, More Mustard; Whisper White
Stamp Set: Nursery Necessities; Bitty Birthday
Card: Pacific Point; Whisper White
Accessories: Scissors; Hodgepodge Hardware; Dimensionals; SNAIL

I love this set. It was lent to me by Kelly and I had great fun creating Alexander’s Birthday Card and another one which unfortunately I gave away before scanning.

I tore the bottom edge of the front of the card and stamped a line of stars below it. I stamped the stars in different colours and the moon in Summer Sun on Whisper White. I cut out the moon and stars and layered them over the card front. I then placed the brad and voila all done.
