I was very excited to see that the Punch Butterfly is still available though the mini catalogue is over so I went and had fun making some mini cards using punches and the Big Shot.
Autumn Mini
’tis a new season and we celebrate with the new Autumn/Winter Mini. New stamps sets, new colours and new papercraft tools! (ok fun toys to play with)
Now where do I start. I will start .. how about with the Big Shot die-cutting machine? It cuts not just card and paper but fabric and chipboard and plastic and more! It embosses too!
Here are some cards I created using the Textured Impressions Embossing Folders – the Perfect Polka Dots.
These two cards use the great new colour of Rich Razzleberry. My scanner/camera didn’t do the best job of how truly beautiful it is. You should see it.
I embosssed the cards using the embossing folder and using glue dots attached the Rich Razzleberry Polka-Dot Grosgrain Ribbon. Then using the great new punch of the Extra-Large Two Step Bird I cut out two – one in whisper white, the other in Rich Razzleberry. Exchanging wings I attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals. No stamping was involved in this card 😉 I did case this from someone at the meeting the other night but I am not sure who (sorry! Perhaps you can tell me Vanessa?)
Here is the card in a slight different interpretation…
Stayed tuned for my next sneak peak with fox and friends! Only 6 days to go til the catalogue launches.
More from the new catalogue
Here is another use of the sweet cups. A bit harder to scan in. I made a little pouch and put jelly babies in the pouch but used blue jelly bellys in the sweet cups for she had a little boy.
My other favourite new item from the summer catalogue is a butterfly punch which coordinates nicely with the stamp set butterfly prints.

This was a very easy card to make and I enjoyed using my vintage brads so the butterfly floats on the card and the crop-a-dile makes it so easy to punch the holes in the butterfly and the card.

Punches
This was the make and take at the stamping meeting and I can’t wait to try my own version of it… No stamps were used in the creation of this card
All you need is the scallop punch, scissors and the star punch oh and the word window punch for the tree trunk and voila!
Thanks Cass!
