for you

I needed to do a card for my niece’s christening and I decided to use the fresh cut notes from the new catalogue. Devoid of inspiration I even used the ideas they had in the catalogue for my design – just used different colour scheme and instead of a button used a flower brad in the middle. Nice, pretty quick and easy (slowest/ hardest bit was cutting out the little flower in kiwi kiss) .

6×6 scrapbook pages

I have a workshop this Saturday where they want to do a 6×6 scrapbook page so I have been thinking of ideas and going to brainstorm some more with Vanessa on Friday.  Thanks… 😉

Anyway I was looking at the Stampin’ Up workshop DVD and created (adapted) these two from ideas on there.  Even if I don’t use them I like what I have created showcasing my gorgeous husband and gorgeous son.  (no bias here!)

They are the same design just using different colours.

The first one used Green Galore, Real Red and Yoyo yellow card stock from the Bold Brights colection.

Using my watercolour joy stampin’ wheel with real red cartridge I rolled it up the 1″ strip of real red.

Using green galore and basic black I stamped the flowers as a border down the bottom.

I crumbled the yoyo yellow and using snail adehesive stuck everything down and stamped the title “heartfelt” across the top in green galore.

On whisper white card I stamped real read flowers with basic black two step stamping over the top.  One with a basic black middle, the other in green galore.  I cut them out and stuck them down with dimensionals.

The flower stamps are from the heartfelt thanks set.

The second layout was on brilliant blue, with real red and green galore.  I chose green and blue to match the photograph.

I chose a different flower from the heartfelt thanks set to create the border at the bottom, this time just stamping in brilliant blue.  The flowers cut out are also in brilliant blue and basic black.

The next card I made at my first stampin’ up workshop about 18 months ago.  I have only just put the photograph in it.
